Time for another self post thumbnail. A lot of people complained that the old one was not up to par, so I think it's time we give it a refresh!

I made a new one this morning just to change it up a bit and to give an example of the type of image that we need for the thumbnail. It has to be simple, and look good when scaled down to 50x70 pixels. I loved the last time we did this and we had some great suggestions.

I don't. Notice the conflict between the 'anti-illuminati' subreddit icon in the top and the 'illuminati' icon you set for self posts?

We should strive for consistency and clarity. What motivated you to use this image(well drawn BTW)?

I think the eye, with the 'forbidden' sign or not, is too much. This subreddit should try to maintain a more balanced, less far-out image so the tinfoiler/wacko image isn't cemented in public opinion on all those that dare question the official version. I was thinking a more generic, maybe something like a simplified version of this, a face as seen by a securty cam...

Just PLEASE don't use this one :-P

I liked the regular pyramid eye without the line through it. The popular conception 'round here is that the Illuminati gives us clues throughout the media, so this could be our way of thumbing our noses at them and letting them know, again, through media, we know what's up.

It fits this subreddit perfectly! :D

In full disclosure: I made the old tinfoil hat one.

I thought it was just a playful icon we could use for our random rants and stuff. I understand why some thought it would cast us in a bad light but I thought it was just a icon that would bring some fun to this subreddit since we're always discussing doom and gloom type stuff. Making fun of a stereotype when its applied to yourself is a way to combat it, me thinks.

But with that said I welcome our new self post icon overlords!

I like it. I am a graphic artist if you guys ever want any cool photoshops for the sidebar, or any new icons. I'm not the greatest but I can contribute if anyone would like. I hope it would go without saying that they would also be free.
