Thought Experiment: Which country/region would you want to live in if you could move?

4  2012-09-06 by those_draculas

Expatriation always becomes a popular subject around election times, so I thought now would be a good time to offer a good thought experiment discussion thread to /r/conspiracy.

So where would you move?

(also this is a good time to shill /r/iwantout it's a fun subreddit for advice for expatriation and long distance moves, no matter from where/to where!)

England. There's no real reason for it other than the fact that I'm a huge anglophile.

England doesn't exist any longer. What used to be England is a sea of Arabs and blacks. There are mosques on every London streetcorner. The last vestages of what people think of when they think of England ceased to exist around 10 years ago.

Yep. Don't even try to hide your racism any more, do you?

He wears it like a badge of honor.

You're right. The UK is full of ethnics everywhere. You wouldn't like it. Don't ever come here. EVER.

I like you.

I'm from London, England and I can't even remember the last time I spoke to an Arab.. That's hardly a sea..

Maybe a small sea..

A pond?

or a puddle

maybe just a spilt juice box.

In that case - a drink of pop.

You just made me remember Panda Pop too.

oh god, Cresta

According to the Office for National Statistics, based on 2006 estimates, 69.4 percent of the 7.5 million inhabitants of London were White. Give it a few more years, considering white birth rates are below replacment levels and this from over ten years ago. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/1556901.stm

London != England

I seriously doubt that.

I don't know why I'm bothering responding you're probably a troll but, 82% indigenous population is not "a sea of Arabs and blacks." In fact Blacks and Arabs make up about 4-5% of the population.

Do some basic research before spurting bollocks out of your mouth next time, you spectacular arsehole. Nobody in England wants you either.

You are literally one of the worst people on the whole of Reddit.

Literally.

I'd call him Hitler, but he'd probably take that as a compliment.

No, no he isn't. He's relatively harmless, no where near the worst. If you want examples of "worst", I have plenty. ttt0ttt doesn't even make the top 50. Trust me when I say, there are far worst, on Reddit.

violentacrez would be near the top, i'd put ttt0ttt just below him

Aww, that's sweet.

I've always imagined you to be the most visually repulsive creature possible. I'm sure I'm not wrong.

I do my utmost to give that impression on here. Carry on.

haha... XD Didn't know you checked this sub.. :P

Dude he's everywhere, it's weird. That's one I would definitely put near the top though.

Well, sure. After all, I'm pretty sure everyone on reddit is Out To Get Me. ;)

We don't want you here, you fucking racist.

That's exactly the sort of the thing someone who has never left his trailerpark would say.

I live in London and, needless to say, you're clueless.

HOW DARE ENGLAND BE A TOLERANT AND ACCEPTING NATION?! I MEAN REALLY!!

Kill yourself.

Dude, fuck off. you're a racist twat and an embarrassment to good folk who subscribe here.

London != England

Aww. We'll be sorry not to have you. Also *vestiges.

I generally upvote your comments, guess I have to downvote this time. Not really sure why you consider us Arabs to be your enemy when we generally agree on many issues.

Solid points T, don't let the haters get you down.

We would not welcome you.

Chile or Argentina would be awesome, they are both great places (from what I hear) & I'm sure silver & gold could go far there. Just have to figure out some way to get some arms with me, hehe.. New Zealand would also be sweet, but I'm not sure what kind of future might turn out there.

iceland, norway, belize, finland, grenada, chile. Anywhere really.

Norway.

Switzerland. I've been thinking about it for a significant amount of time, sorta built it up in my mind where i've got a cup of coffee and a k31 against the wall next to me.

I hear from my friends who lived out there for a while, that it's pretty expensive.

yes, I know, I currently can't afford it but since it was a hypothetical :)

Australia

Nicaragua, even though there's still quite the poverty, I'm impressed with what has been achieved there. Plus I've been told that it offers alot more freedom than the U.S and Canada.

Antarctica.

Liechtenstein.

I was going to list all the reasons, but the wikipedia article says it best.

From the article:

"Liechtenstein is a doubly landlocked alpine country in Central Europe,[8] bordered by Switzerland to the west and south and by Austria to the east. Its area is just over 160 square kilometres (62 sq mi), and it has an estimated population of 35,000. Its capital is Vaduz. The biggest town is Schaan. Liechtenstein has the highest gross domestic product per person in the world when adjusted by purchasing power parity,[9] and has the world's lowest external debt. Liechtenstein also has the second lowest unemployment rate in the world at 1.5% (Monaco is first).

Liechtenstein is the smallest yet the richest (by measure of GDP per capita) German-speaking country in the world and the only country to lie entirely within the Alps. It is known as a principality as it is a constitutional monarchy headed by a prince. Liechtenstein is divided into 11 municipalities. Much of its terrain is mountainous, making it a winter sports destination. Many cultivated fields and small farms characterize its landscape both in the south (Oberland, upper land) and in the north (Unterland, lower land). The country has a strong financial sector located in the capital, Vaduz, and has been identified as a tax haven. It is a member of the European Free Trade Association and part of the European Economic Area and the Schengen Area, but not of the European Union."

Sounds bad ass if you ask me!

I've always been drawn to continental Europe, but in particular, Germany. Being half British, half Polish this might appear a peculiar choice, but I seem to be enamoured with the country nonetheless. As an off-shoot, Switzerland also appeals.

Having said that, I reckon I would be equally happy in some South-East Asian tropical paradise, somewhere like Thailand or Vietnam.

If I were going to move, I'd probably more to some small island nation where English is spoken. Maybe New Zealand. They haven't been quite as pussified as the Australians, yet.

I used to live in "P-Town" Massachusetts, among idiotic Democrats and repulsive sexual degenerates "fagots".

Now I live on a Yacht in the Caribbean. (Motor Vessel Lazy Susan)

May I suggest you get a boat and call the world your oyster?
