Hillary Clinton only became a senator because John Kennedy Jr. conveniently died in a plane crash. His wikipedia page makes no mention of the fact that he was a frontrunner for the N.Y. Senate seat, just before he was killed in a suspicious plane crash in 1999 along with his wife and her sister.
